| One night, London actress and pickpocket Chelsea Myles is left holding a purse with enough gold to buy her passage to Australia, and the chance of a fresh start. Once on board the vessel, Chelsea is intrigued by fellow passenger Quaid Tanner, who is returning to his vineyard in Australia. |

From the Publisher:
Languishing in the London home of her uncle, Chelsea Myles is offered an escape when she is asked to switch identities with a young woman on her way to an arranged marriage in Australia. |
Annotation:
This picaresque tale follows the travails of Chelsea Myles, an aspiring actress who stagnates in her uncle's street theater group--which technically only exists as a distraction so that the family can pick pockets on the London Streets. During one such robbery, Chelsea winds up with enough resources to buy a boat ticket to Australia. On the ship, she meets vintner Quaid Tanner, and the two are entranced with one another. But will their oceanic romance stay afloat once they come ashore?

Author Bio
Fern Michaels
Fern Michaels grew up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, got married, and had five children before she picked up a pen to begin writing what would turn out be one best-selling romance after another. One of the most consistent bestselling romance writers of the '80s and '90s, Michaels writes mostly steamy historical romances with heavy doses of passion, seduction, and torrid adultery. Divorced from her first husband, she dedicates much of her time to philanthropic concerns, having set up the Fern Michaels Foundation, which grants scholarships to students in need. She also set up affordable pre-school and day-care centers for struggling single mothers.
