I accidentally ran over my SILK tripod that served me well for over 20 years. Shocked by the $150 price to replace with a current model, U 212 DX ($130 on eBay). I shopped on Buy.com and was pleased to find a $90 tripod for $30! It will serve my needs well and is easier to transport in my day-pack that I use to carry my camera equipment. It only sticks out a few inches but the fold-over top flap will cover it. It is much lighter than my old tripod and uses a quick release plate that screws into my camera base. It comes with 2 plates, which will be useful to people with a second camera or video recorder. It is not as sturdy as my old tripod but should last long if care is used. I have not used the mono-pod yet but it should be useful. It has a bubble to help level but no mounting post on one leg for macro work or additional flash.

This is an Outstanding product I haven't had the need for a tripod in many years but this was better than I ever expected. I love the quick release for the camera body and having a monopod for those times when you don't want to take the whole tripod or you don't have room for it is really convenient. Overall use is simple great for novice or professional. I cant find any negatives.

Perfect Travel Tripod

I got this specifically because it fits in a carry-on bag. Have a smaller one, but needed one that can fully extend as well. It can handle my camera, projector any other needs I have including lighting. I wouldn't buy anything else. Would be nice if it came with a bag or case.
