Very good tablet. I was considering Samsung, but after I found that it needs special sw to use USB, there was no hesitation.
CONS: could be slightly lighter (100g) to match Samsung and slightly thinner (although all these connectors make it difficult).
Access to Toshiba apps also makes it better.
Why aren't more tablets like this one? I've seen reviews that comment on the defining traits of this tablet and ask - is it worth the thickness for the ports? I say yes. I bought a fire but felt too limited. Reading books and streaming is not my main use. It depends on how you want to use it. Do you stream it all from cloud or run local files? I'd rather load local videos. 32 gb on board plus a super flexible SD card. How do you move pics from your camera to your tablet? Both of mine use SD. Same with PC but add USB flash drive to options. Do u have a microHDMI on hand and if not does best buy have it? Just need regular full size HDMI here. And screen full size with sufficient performance even now in April 2012. Also Ice cream sandwich promised by end of spring 2012. Very happy.
Well worth the money and a joy to use. This being my first tablet after many years of computer use, size was a great advantage to me. It is small compared to my laptop and easily transported, viewing screen is just great! I've bought a small carrying case on a strap that goes over my neck and isn't any problem carrying with me. Read many Pros & Cons about the various tablets, but so far I'm totally thrilled with it!!
First off -- No -- I do not work for Toshiba. But I fell in love with the brand a little over a year ago when I bought a new Qosmio laptop, and it's BY FAR the best computer I have ever owned. I love it as much today as the day I got it, so when I found out Toshiba had an Android Tab, I had to take a serious look.
This is the first tablet for me due to the fact that I prefer my laptop since it can do anything and tablets are limited, or so I thought...this tablet is great, it has all the ports you would need and it has great graphics, sound is ok but with headphones it is no different than any other mp3 type device. Very sturdy, has some weight to it so you know its in your hands and very easy to grip. Like most reviewers have stated the front facing camera is in a awkward position but you get used to it
