In terms of construction quality, the Toshiba is beefy and solid feeling. Most surfaces are covered in a rubbery non-slip material, and although it's slightly heavier and thicker than most competitors, it still feels right in your hands. The screen is reasonably high quality...to me, not quite as readable as Apple's, but certainly more than adequate. Touch screen performance is very good, and unlike some other models, I find it easy to interact with it, even for objects right near the edge of the screen. I'm generally more of a physical keyboard fan, but Toshiba's touchscreen seemed more appealing than most.
I purchased the 10" thrive tabet about 2 weeks ago and I just can not put it down. The screen is beautiful, the touch response is amazing, the quality of the entire tabet is of high quality. The tablet is a lil thicker and heavier then most but all the positive points out weigh that. The picture quality is beautiful outside but the inside quality is not that good depending on high much bright light is around. I love that the battery can be replaced and is not built in like most are. There are plenty of apps from the android market and the Toshiba apps. store.
I'm only able to compare it to few other tablets, most of which were years old, but this is my favorite tablet so far. The screen is very responsive and accurate. The graphics are excellent. I have no problems saving movies to my SD card and watching them from the card. I've seen others say just pay for the extra space but playing media from the SD card does great for me. I haven't used the additional ports that no other tablet has too much so can't testify to the quality/usefulness of them just yet, but I look forward to playing movies on the big screen with the HDMI port. My only complaint is all my digital movies are in iTunes and so I'm imprisoned to Apple's devices. All-in-all, a good buy.
