Annotation:
Jordan Scott has decided to remain a member of his gang, the Cobras. Life in the gang may be difficult, but at least with them he feels like he has a family--something he hasn't felt since his father left. Besides, Jordan reassures himself, he'll be able to leave the gang whenever he feels like it. Then something extraordinary happens--Jordan is transported back in time and begins living a parallel life as a slave on a 19th-century plantation. Soon Jordan begins to see similarities between his life as a slave and his life as a gang member.
