The Worms have turned...|The Worms Have Turned.
Can a drifter, two survivalists, a kid looking for kicks, and a gorgeous scientist bury those bodacious worms once and for all.

"Same mix of tongue-in-cheek humor and special effects as the first film.  VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever
"...has the same sense of fun [as the original] without losing the horror...  J.T. Jeans, Oh, the Horror!

Editor's Note
The foul-smelling "Graboids" from the original comedy-science-fiction-thriller return to snack on more people in this long-awaited sequel. The original worm hunter is called out of retirement to save Mexican oil fields from the pesky subterranean critters, but they prove to be a bit tougher this time around.

Plot Summary
The worms are back again... and nobody's safe.| This time, though, they're not 24 feet -- they've shrunk! But it turns out that smaller means deadlier. And once again, Earl Bassett, with the help of geologist Kate White and his friend Burt Gummer, has to find a way to defeat the killer critters.

Professional Reviews 8 of 10
The straight-to-video sequel to the astonishingly successful and surprisingly good low-budget Tremors, this film is set in Mexico and brings back Fred Ward and Michael Gross to reprise their roles from the earlier movie, and tosses in some nice additions...A few years have passed since the giant worms attacked the town of Perfection, Nevada...Yet all is not as peaceful as it seems...The movie is sprinkled with touches of humor. Burt shoots one of the creatures with a high-powered rifle that not only goes entirely through the beast, it passes through a building, some scattered debris, and the engine block of their only working truck. Can we say "overkill"? Burt also gets trapped in the shovel of a front-end loader while his friends scamper to a nearby roof...oh well, at least he's hidden...The monsters look excellent, and the special effects are first-rate. Fred Ward pulls off the character Earl wearing comfortabe old shoes. Michael Gross is even better as Burt this time around, and Reba MacIntyre is sadly missing from this film...that's a loss. The other characters were merely incidental, and not well developed, and Helen Shaver is adequate, without really standing out...This is easily as good a ride as the first movie, and there's talk of yet another sequel. Low budget flicks rarely get this good.
