Works great for me9/9/2012
My wireless n router is upstairs and I use this extender in my basement for my laptop and multimedia entertainment system. Prior to its use my signal varied from to very good to good. With this extender I get a consistant excellent signal in the basement.
Works well for me8/13/2012
I purchase one of this routers recently and I need to said it works well for me. The setup of the unit was a little bit tricky but when I did, the signal reach all over my house with 5 bars. For example in my room I got nothing before and now the signal is very strong. Reading the other comment I need to said then I have similar problem but is coming from the laptop it self. I have a HP and this laptops have a known problem with the connectivity of there wifi card to the router and have nothing to do with TRENDrouter. Over all the router works very well. I wish I purchase this item long time ago.
Not a happy camper8/4/2012
Easy set up. Works great when it works. Not reliable. Needs frequent rebooting. Effectiveness of signal boost comes and goes too. The random and frequent signal loss from this unit drives you nuts! It works very well during the random moments that it works. But then you get the drop-outs. And other times you can't even access the device until after hard booting it, using the power cord. Sometimes more than once a day, other times every two days. When is TRENDnet going to issue a firmware update? It's been over a year! (Nov. 2011) I've read a lot of reviews from others that have had these issues as well. C-mon TRENDnet, let's solve these problems! I'm normally happy with their products. I don't know why this one has to be such an unpleasant exception.
