Easy to setup and great for [$]. I tried a Panasonic camera in the past and this one blows it away. e-mail notifications alone make this camera worth the purchase. Must buy!
Camera is fine, but, no Time/Date stamp1/29/2012
Bought two other Trendnet cameras with th IR and very satisfied with them. Bought this one and thought it was the same, except for the elimination of the IR. However, it did not have the option of adding a Time/date stamp on the video image which I considered a major flaw. I advised Trendnet and returned this camera to purchase the Hawking HRPC2-B which is identical to the TrendNet TV-IP 121w. It even works with TrendNet's software. Use IPCam Viewer for your iPhone, works great!
Very good camera for very good price12/14/2011
As starter, you should buy this camera (TV-IP110WN) because of good price and it's simplicity. You can use it with your iPhone anywhere and anytime.
Difficult to setup / mobile ipad app not working12/13/2011
instructions were aimed for Trendnet routers with no help for Apple router. Was able to set up for use remotely (view from another PC using browser) but had to look at apple forum for help with router setup. SecurView Mobile app did not work / unable to view camera using same login as setup for browser. There is no support or instruction for App that I could find on Trendnet site.
Good camera for the money, networking for the adep12/8/2011
The vast majority of poor reviews I see for any of these cameras has to do with people who do not know how to configure networking. It does require using a dynamic DNS service and proper configuring of port forwarding and static address assigning within your router for these to be accessible from outside your house. If you don't know what I just said, then you may not want to tackle it or at least be prepared to teach yourself (google is your friend). I have an 8 camera network of trendnet and foscam units, all viewable by Blue Iris and IP Camera viewer on my phone. Works like a charm but don't expect high resolution. Great to keep an eye on the dogs or the kids, and make sure burglars aren't emptying the house.
nice for in home12/8/2011
Never able to get these to work on line just able to use it like a baby monitor in the house. This was not what I bought it for. I am an IT person but I could not get these to work. Had network tech guy help and he was unsuccessful. NOT PLUG AND PLAY. Need network experience to use these. directions are poor. Support is zero.
I own 4 IP cameras. This Trendnet works as and is easy to setup. But the camera image is terrible. needs a very brightly lit area to deliver a usable picture. But at the price I paid for it I cant complain too much.
