Customer Reviews of Tripp Lite Protect It! TLP810SAT 8 Outlet Surge Suppressor
Nice amount of outlets.11/13/2013
So far so good. The number of outlets is sufficient for my living room entertainment system. I run the cable through it and haven't noticed video quality degradation. Glad I purchased it.
Perfect size and fits 3 bricks5/11/2011
I was looking for something that could fit behind my mounted lcd and this fit perfect and has the long cord so I could run it to my outlet. After looking for awhile at many surge protectors this is the ONLY one I could find that works for my setup. I have had this for around 2 years now and am still very happy with it. One thing though, I don't recommend using the coax and telephone jacks, not just for this unit but any surge protector. They cause problems with cable and phone service must of the time.
A must have1/20/2009
This is one of the beter surge suppresors in my book. I shopped for quality, value, warranty and price before mamking this decision and it hasn't let us down yet. We have lots of power issues in FL so this item works overtime.
Great for the price6/22/2008
I bought two of these surge protectors when I got my new LCD TV and wanted something more than a power strip. After all, the TV cost more than my first car. The device has a sufficient number of outlets and allows for three power bricks. It also has phone and two cable line protectors. The guarantee is excellent and I hope I'll never have to use it. I've had no noticable interference with the tv reception. I am very satisfied with the product and recommend it highly.
Great protection for good price3/19/2007
I did a lot of research looking for a surge protector with a low clamping voltage and high joule rating, and I was amazed to find this one with great specs at such a reasonable price! I installed one on my computer and one on my entertainment center. My only gripe is the coax connectors seem to slightly degrade the video signal, so if you run your cable TV through this and then to your TV, you may notice a tiny bit more noise in the picture. However, it's not a big amount, and it's worth it for the amount of protection it provides and the low price. If you have a good comb filter on your TV you won't notice it. (Maybe this noise is due to interference from running the coax cable between all the power cables plugged into the unit? This is unavoidable though, since they're placed right in the middle of where all the plugs go.) I was glad to find it doesn't seem to have any negative effects on my cable modem internet connection. The cord is nice and long too, which is nice. So, it's a good small size, not too heavy, great electrical specs, and tons of plugs for phone, coax and power, all at a reasonable price - what's not to love?
