Cheap, easy, slow
Price is pretty good compared to similar products, but is lacking features (such as USB ports). Easy to set up- took me more time to open the box than to set up on my network. No additional software required. Slow transfer between the device and computers on the network (website says 4-5 Mbps). Speed is acceptable for normal use, but takes FOREVER to copy existing files up to it. It seems to have a buffer (could be the hard drive) and the transfer speed will drop to ~800 KBps if copying several megabytes at a time. I ended up transferring my files by FTP as it was the only controlled way to do so. Files copied using MS file sharing to the NAS have incorrect timestamps so forget using XCOPY with a /D to just copy newer files. ROBOCOPY doesn't work at all. The device only only accepts stardard English characters in filenames, so I had to rename some MP3s in order to put them on it.
