"Special Guest Stars Include: Sean Penn, Elvis Costello, Camryn Manheim, Denise Richards, Lucy Lawless, and Jeri Ryan!"
Welcome back to the Harpers' Malibu beach house, home to one of the funniest TV comedy hits in a long, long time. Bachelor Charlie (Charlie Sheen) is trying (but not very hard) to remember the name of the girl currently taking a shower upstairs. Alan (Jon Cryer), Charlie's tightly wound, divorced brother is trying to figure out how he can get his ex wife to remarry, so he can stop paying alimony. And Jake (Angus T. Jones), Alan's 11 year old son, is just trying to figure out what's for lunch and where's the TV remote. After a year of living together, the guys have figured out how two and a half men equal one family. Sort of. But there are plenty of hilarious rough spots along the way. And you'll share them all in this 4-disc collection that includes all 24 episodes of the series' smart and uproarious second season.

"Sheen and Cryer have already proven on countless occasions their knack for comedy, and this show is just the latest example.  Shawn McKenzie, Entertain Your Brain!
"One of the most endearing new comedies of the year.  The Washington Post
"...[a] sharply written sitcom that happily doesn't pander to the lowest common denominator.  Tim Knight, Reel.com
"...has all the conflict and tension at its core that made The Odd Couple so successful, with the added bonus of an equally skilled supporting cast...  Kent Dixon, DVD Verdict
"Some of the very best writing in TV. The acting is first-rate.  Liz Smith, New York Post
"The writing is top notch...but overwhelmingly, the draw of this show is Jon Cryer. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Jon Cryer is Alan Harper.  Ryan Keefer, DVD Verdict

Editor's Note
Charlie Sheen takes a starring role in TWO AND A HALF MEN, a genial CBS comedy about a dysfunctional family. Sheen plays Charlie Harper, who enjoys the bachelor life in his Malibu beach house. His existence consists of an endless stream of partying and dating until his brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), moves in with him. Alan's life has fallen apart after a separation from his wife, but he still has custody of his young son, Jake (Angus T. Jones), who also moves into Charlie's Malibu home. Supporting characters include Alan's crazy ex-wife, Charlie and Alan's overbearing mother, and their sharp-tongued housekeeper Berta. The makeshift family formed by Charlie, Alan, and Jake provides plenty of laughs and a few poignant moments in this complete second season of episodes.

Entertain Your Brain! 9 of 10
This show is up there with NBC's "Happy Family" as two of the best new sitcoms this season. Sheen and Cryer have already proven on countless occasions their knack for comedy, and this show is just the latest example. Sheen's chemistry with Jones is great, and the kid comes off acting like a regular kid instead of like a "sitcom kid." Lynskey's character seems like a one-note joke though, and I doubt she will last long. I know that I have found a gem when I find myself smiling at the end of a show...I will miss seeing "The King of Queens" on Mondays, but "Two and a Half Men" is a good replacement. All I can hope for now is that "Still Standing" will be cancelled and "King" will be put in its place. Maybe that kind of perfection is overrated. - Shawn McKenzie
