very good delivery and does as advertised.
My laptop died and I wanted to transfer my data to a new computer. Typical situation. This did the trick quickly and cheaply. Worked perfect. The one thing I will say is that I wasn't sure if the connector would fit my harddrive. I realized that there was some sort of adapter that was on my HP harddrive. I simply just took it off and it fit perfectly. Bottom Line: Its cheap, and it works. Buy it.
works well, charger gets very hot.
The kit arrived sans instructions, the adaptor wiring was loose, and I still thought it might work. However, the AC adaptor sparked and smoked after just moments plugged in, and the hard drive didn't even start to spin. I contacted eforcity, and they sent me a replacement, which did the same thing. Were a person to pay too little attention, it could easily start an electrical fire.
This product does not work. I have hooked it to 5 different external hard drives and a DVD player. The power supply gets very hot, but the disc does not spin up, and when plugging in the USB cable, the OS does not recognize the drive. Has anyone else had this problem?
