The hub works fine so far. If the description mentioned a mirrored finish, I missed it - I like it. Red LEDs show which hubs are used + an LED for power. The instructions are minimal. Apparently you're supposed to know to plug the power cord into one of your extra USB/iPod chargers. I'd recommend it.
Though it looks black in the picture but it's actually shinny reflective silver, the unit has white light (for usb 3.0 text), and red lights for the ports..
Have had no issues with it yet, using it to power 2 usb 3.0 hard drives (self powered) and a USB 3.0 sdhc reader .
It is a high speed 4-port USB 3.0 hub, which increases 4 ports of USB 3.0 to your computer. It provides USB 3.0 with super speed up to 5Gbps and is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. Besides, the built-in current protection system can protect both connected devices and the hub itself from unforeseen power surges.
