Veronica Mars - Complete Seasons 1-3 on DVD

In the wealthy, seaside community of Neptune, California, the rich and powerful make the rules. Unfortunately for them, there's Veronica Mars, a smart, fearless 17-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town's toughest mysteries. Veronica used to be one of the popular girls, but it all came crumbling down around her after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, and her then-sheriff father, Keith, was removed from office for naming Lilly's rich father as the lead suspect. During the day, Veronica must negotiate high school like any average teenage girl. But at night, she helps with her father's struggling, new private investigator business--and what she finds may tear the town of Neptune apart at the seams.

This 18 disc collection includes all 64 episodes from the first three seasons of Veronica Mars!

Editors Note
Note Set in Neptune, California, VERONICA MARS is a popular TV drama that follows the fortunes of a 17-year-old trainee private investigator. Neptune is full of powerfully rich residents, many of whom believe they are above the law. Fortunately Veronica, who was propelled into a life of crime-fighting after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, is on hand to ensure that justice is served, much to the annoyance of the Neptunians who find themselves frequently foiled in their devious plans. Veronica's father is the former sheriff of Neptune, who found himself removed from office after alleging that Lilly's father was responsible for his daughter's death. Now, together with Veronica, he runs a local private investigation business, while also ensuring that his daughter doesn't neglect her high school duties. A long-standing subplot that runs through the show is Veronica's attempts to clear her father's name, which only leads to further evidence of enormous corruption and deceit in a neighborhood that seems littered with criminal activity. The entire first, second, and third seasons of the show are collected here.

ReviewSource DVD Verdict
Review How's this for a bizarre coincidence? Midway through studying Rob Thomas's book Rats Saw God with my Grade 11 class, the first season of Veronica Mars shows up on my doorstep for review. The series creator? Rob Thomas. Turns out the novel and series have quite a few things in common: They are both smartly written, capture how it feels to be a teenager, and include a number of the same themes. In the case of Veronica Mars, that means that this is one of the best teen-oriented shows ever made...The depth of the adult characters may also give it some level of appeal with parents of teenagers. Ironically, it probably will never be popular with young teens, who will be turned off by the adult themes and unrelenting complexity. It's a great series to watch on DVD, because viewers don't have to fear missing a critical detail along the way.
