Visibledust EZ sensor cleaning solutions and swabs are calibrated to work together to produce optimal and safe results. This double layer high absorbency fabric is super soft and made of super thin fibers. It is used in cleaning delicate surfaces such as DSLR sensors. The fabric is woven to be non-shedding. Its high absorbency capacity makes it ideal for the surface cleaning of delicates optics. The fabric has also a unique folding design that creates a softer edge compared to a hot sealing process. The specially developed mini-channel design provides an even saturation of the paddles surface while preventing pooling and vertical flow at the edge. This reduces streaks associated with traditional flat surface paddles. The mini-channels also provide the extra reservoir to absorb the excessive liquid and prolonging the moisture life of the swab during the cleaning process. When wet cleaning its important to use the appropriate swab or streaks/residue may be left behind. Generally the contaminations on your sensor range from water to oil based. Key Features: Streak Prevention: The ability to prevent streaks after cleaning. Removing debris from the sensor only to find streaks left behind can be frustrating. Anti-Static: The ability to prevent dust attraction to the filter surface after cleaning. After cleaning the filter it is desirable to have an anti-static barrier to reduce dust attraction in the future. Cleaning Power: The ability to remove water oil and protein. The water that appears on the sensor usually comes from humidity raindrops and spittle. Oil appears on the sensor when it is cast from the mechanisms (mirror shutter) or from accidental contact with the IR filter with a finger. Proteins and bacteria can accumulate in the form of dust (pollen) or from breathing or spitting on the filter. Smear Removal Power: The ability to remove lubricant contamination from the sensor surface. Smears occur when a liquid contamination develops on the filter and an attempt is made to clean it with a dry method such as a brush. This spreads the contaminant over the sensor creating a smear. Smears sound detrimental but are easily removed with the proper tools.|
