Editor's Note
Familiar face Andrew Keegan (10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU) stars in this World War II adventure-romance. It?s New Year?s Eve 1944, and Lt. Mike Clarke (Keegan), a fighter pilot, is set to leave Chicago for Europe. Excessive celebration has left Mike with less than good judgment, and he accidentally bets a man--who happens to be the nephew of notorious gangster Al Capone--that he will shoot down five Axis planes. Fast forward to April 1944, and Mike is one plane away from his goal. The only problem is that he is stranded in a small town in Ireland after his plane runs out of fuel and ammo, and he doesn?t have the $10,000 he bet Capone?s nephew. But the charming locals will do their best to help him make number five, and a red-haired woman (Jade Yourell) tries equally hard to steal his heart.

Of all the dreaded addictions the human race has ever introduced to itself, the act of betting could perhaps be one of the most popular and obsessive. Let’s face it, it’s still legal (in most states), and it doesn’t endanger your life like smoking and drinking allegedly do. On a slightly-similar-but-entirely-unrelated note, Cinema Libre Studios have released two catalogue titles to Blu-ray recently — both of which involve men who have their own unique betting experiences to relate to us the full review
