| This story is based on the author's own personal experiences, struggles starting from growing up and living in a communist country as a minority nationality. Breaking the rule and marrying a girl from a different cultural background and nationality. After a few years trying to leave the country and seeking freedom, both the author and his wife were put in a hard prison, leaving a five-year-old daughter at home, not able to communicate with her. Three years later he managed to escape into the former Yugoslavia with two other people, once again going through hell, and finally being transported into a refugee camp where he suffered many interviews with the secret police before he was placed under United Nations protection. Then, God miraculously turned his direction from trying to reach Australia, towards the USA, the land of milk and honey. In the process, He turned the author's heart and that of his family toward Him, giving them a totally changed life. All is good that ends good: finally arriving home in a new country, the family was blessed with another daughter. |
