Customer Reviews of Wii Energizer Flat Panel 2x Induction Charger (includes 2 Rechargeable Battery Packs)
I have had this charging system for about 2 years this December. It works great! Even after all this time the batteries still outlast all the normal rechargeable batteries. I bought it so that my 7 year old would not have to take the remotes out of their jellies. He uses the remotes all the time, and no problems with this charging station. One of my favorite Wii accessories!
It is cheap for a reason. Beware. This lovely item worked 1 time and not again, so it was effectively like buying 1 really expensive set of batteries.
The 2 battery packs are for white Wii controllers. If you want black ones, you will have to contact the manufacturer directly, and will cost extra (for S&H). Both of my Wii controllers charged overnight without issues. It was really easy to setup and took about 2 mins, which was mostly fiddling with the silicon covers. The instructions are mostly fine, but do not have a FAQ or troubleshooting section. FYI: Solid Red light: charging, Solid Green light: fully charged, Blinking Red light: charging error. The charge error happens if the controller is not on the base correctly or if the battery pack isn't installed correctly. All said and done, I think this Induction Charger is pretty awesome, and will buy another. I haven't run out of charge and takes no thought to use it. For my niece and nephews, they have a rule that after they play the Wii they have to put the controllers on the charger, and if they don't and the battery runs out, they can't play the Wii and will have to wait overnight for the controllers to recharge. Now, they always put the controllers on the charger and I never have a lost/misplaced controller. Awesome!
