Product Overview

Prehistoric mammals lived up to 10,000 years ago. In the middle of the Jurassic period there were the first reptile like mammals that remained under cover during the reign of the dinosaur. The Jurassic period extended from about 200 million years ago to 146 million years. The Jurassic was named by Alexandree Brogniart for the extensive marine limestone exposures of the Jura Mountains in the region where Germany, France, Switzerland meet. Wooly rhinos who had 2 horns survived up to 8,000 years BC in Western Siberia. They were supposedly hunted by man to extinction. Safari accurately depicts some of the best known prehistoric mammals. 5-language educational information is included. Size: 2.5" long (6.5cm).
