Wings Makes Another Smooth Landing!
| The outrageous sitcom Wings is back for Season Seven, with brothers Joe (Tim Daly) and Brian Hackett (Steven Weber) of Sandpiper Air, and their friends and co-workers of Tom Nevers Field. This season, Joe and Helen (Crystal Bernard) enjoy wedded bliss, but not for long, as Brian and Casey (Amy Yasbeck) burn down Helen's house, and the two couples have to live together. Plus, Roy (David Schramm) meets his son's new boyfriend, Fay (Rebecca Schull) announces she's getting hitched, and cab driver Antonio (Tony Shalhoub) looks for love in all the wrong places when he unknowingly dates a hooker! This 4-disc set includes all 26 Season Seven episodes, on DVD for the very first time. The little airport with the big laughs, Wings is back and funnier than ever! |
"...just like Cheers, the strength of Wings is built upon great writing and eccentric, well-developed characters. Britt Gillette, The DVD Report
"Better than airplane peanuts! David Johnson, DVD Verdict
"...was able to grow and keep the laughs coming year after year. Home Theater Info
"Daly and Weber maintain an affable chemistry together, but it's the supporting cast that keeps the show swimming along. Scott Weinberg, DVD Talk

Editor's Note
The sometimes touching and always funny 1990s sitcom WINGS starred Tim Daly and Steven Weber as Joe and Brian Hackett, two brothers trying to run a small airline on Nantucket while dealing with a lovable, eccentric group of employees and friends that included lunch-counter waitress Helen Chapel (Crystal Bernard), immigrant cab driver Antonio Scarpacio (Tony Shaloub), and Helen's uptight older sister Casey (Amy Yasbeck). Created by the team behind CHEERS and FRASIER, WINGS shared those shows' taste for zany situational comedy that was also intelligent, emotional, and decidedly mature. This collection presents the beloved series' seventh season, in which oddball mechanic Lowell Mather (Thomas Hayden Church) witnesses a mob hit and enters the Witness Protection Program, to be replaced by the equally kooky Budd Bronski (Brian Haley).
