Wishes is one of Jude Deveraux's most delightful novels ever, an enchanting story filled with warmth, love, and a touch of magic. Everyone will be totally captivated by this engaging, poignant tale featuring Deveraux at the height of her storytelling talents.Jace Mongomery was a stranger in Chandler. Tall, proud, and ruggedly handsome, he would make any woman's heart beat faster...

Even shy, sweet Nellie Grayson -- Nellie, who thought only of her beautiful younger sister's happiness. With Nellie's tireless aid, Terel Grayson easily became the belle of Chandler, Colorado.

Yet Jace, homesick for his closeknit family in Maine, took immediately to Nellie. For the first time, Nellie was the center of attention. It was a heady, delightful feeling...almost as wonderful as the moment when Jace gave her her very first kiss.

Nellie was sure her romantic idyll would end -- how long could Jace resist the lovely Terel's charms? But with the help of an enchanting new friend, Nellie would discover that her flirtatious sister might not be the woman to win the gallant Jace Montgomery....

Annotation:
A homely woman of substantial girth finally finds true love.
Author Bio
Jude Deveraux
Jude Deveraux was in her sixth year as a fifth-grade teacher when her first book was accepted by a publisher--only 27 days after she had submitted the manuscript--for an advance of $7,500, close to her annual salary at the time of $9,600. The next day she quit her job and devoted her full-time energies to writing. After spending her first years as a writer living in a trailer, Deveraux was finally able to move into a large house in Sante Fe with such amenities as five fireplaces and a bidet in her bedroom. Known mostly for her historical romances, Deveraux's most popular novels feature the Taggert and Montgomery clans.
