|Wishmaster: Magically powerful. Supernaturally evil. The ancient entity known in human legend as Djinn can grant a person's wildest dreams. And in the process, it unleashes your darkest nightmares. The moral of this explosively terrifying, special-effects-powered, horror-fantasy spectacular: Be careful what you wish for. Wishmaster 2: When the legendary monster, the Djinn, is re-released, he begins his reign of terror, plunging the earth into horror and chaos. As the Djinn reaches his goal of a thousand captured souls, it is up to Morgana to stand between the world as we know it and a terrifying future beyond our darkest fears.|
Editor's NoteContain both the original WISHMASTER and its direct-to-video sequel. See individual titles for details.WISHMASTER: After inadvertently freeing an evil Djinn from his gemstone prison, an auction house gemologist fights to bring his rampages to an end, as they include stealing the souls of the hapless humans whose wishes bring them to ironic early ends. Heavy on the computer-assisted effects, with some mitigating touches, such as Ted Raimi in a cameo and Englund as a stodgy art collector. Craven acted as Executive Producer, but later removed his name.WISHMASTER 2: Evil has been summoned once again when the evil Djinn is awakened by a burglar named Morgana (Fields) during a botched art heist. When the Djinn takes blame for the crime, he's sent to prison where he grants wishes to prisoners in return for their souls, to ultimately structure an army to obliterate all humanity. It's up to Morgana to save the human race.
