Author Bio
Patricia MacLachlan
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, MacLachlan is a writer and a teacher. She is an author of both picture books and books for middle readers, but is probably best known for the 1986 Newbery Medal-winning book SARAH, PLAN AND TALL. Many of her books reflect the theme of the strength and importance of family.
