X-Box Kinect system
The system itself was set up and running within 30 minutes, which included the kinect sensor, wi-fi hook up and system updates. Also set up with Netflix, again simple to set up, and also great value for money. The system came with one game disc and one downloadable code. Took longer than I expected to download the game, but had it running in the background while I became more familiar with the other features and games. Both games have already been used extensively, to the extent I have sore muscles that I didn't know I had, thats how much we played the games. From my perspective, the biggest draw for the kinect is the fitness aspect, it really does give you a good work out without realizing how much effort and energy you are expending. The kids also bought a couple of aditional games, and they had Just Dance 3 going into the early hours. Off the two games that came with the system, then I do much prefer the Kinect Adventures, requires a lot more interaction and keeps you hooked for a lot longer than the Carnival games, and also seemed more suited for 2 players together. We do have this set up in the living room, and between the games and Netflix we are using the TV more for those two than for watching regular programs, and the next step is to get my wife hooked and using the fitness applications. We both struggle with work outs at the Gym. Certainly easier and more accessible to work out in your own living room than drive to the Gym, and more fun as well. All in all I would definitely reccomend this to any one regardless of age.
