The Yamaha YHT-593 Home Theater in a Box: Expanded Versatility and Connectivity at a Strong Value
Since the 1960's, Yamaha's audio/video electronics engineers have endeavored to produce products and services that satisfy the diverse needs of musicians and audiophiles. Yamaha's products and services are recognized the world over for superior quality in acoustics, design, technology, craftsmanship, and customer service, resulting in a reputation for excellence among musicians, music lovers, and home theater.
A perfect HTiB match for Blu-ray players and flat panel displays, the YHT-593 system features a 105W 5-channel 3D-Ready A/V Receiver. Featuring the latest in HDMI functionality, including 3D-ready support (with firmware upgrade) and Audio Return Channel, plus advanced HD Audio decoding with CINEMA DSP, YPAO, and SCENE technologies for ease-of-use. The YHT-593 also features a newly designed speaker package and a 100W subwoofer.
Expand Your Yamaha System with Convenient Connectivity
The included YDS-12 Universal Dock lets you connect your iPod or iPhone to the receiver. And the YDS-12 is "Works with iPhone"-certified, so you can get the most out of your iPhone music library with zero hassles.
The optional YBA-10 Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver docks to the receiver and supports A2DP stereo audio streaming, so users can enjoy music wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, Windows PCs, and Macs.
1080p-Compatible HDMI (4 in/1 out) with 3D and Audio Return Channel
The Yamaha RX-V467 is 1080p HDMI compatible, with 4 inputs and 1 output, ready to handle all your high-definition sources. And thanks to the latest HDMI technology, the RX-V467 is HDMI 3D-ready with a simple firmware upgrade--making you ready for the next generation of "next generation" content. It also supports an audio return channel, which enables a TV, via a single HDMI cable, to send audio data "upstream" to an A/V receiver or surround audio controller, eliminating the need for any separate S/PDIF audio connection when you have multiple sources connected to your TV.
HDMI CEC Functionality
One of the channels in an HDMI connection is dedicated to a set of advanced control functions, collectively known as CEC. In Yamaha receivers, CEC functionality allows connected devices to control each other in useful ways. For instance, a single command on a remote control can be used to play a DVD, or to launch other complex activities across multiple devices in a home theater system.
The RX-V467 Supports Deep Color (30/36-bit) Transmission
The Yamaha RX-V467 supports the latest HDMI 30- and 36-bit color depths, improved from the 24-bit depth of previous versions. This "Deep Color" allows the rendering of billions of colors for far greater accuracy. Colors are so vivid they seem to jump off the screen, with perfectly smooth tonal transitions and ultra-fine gradations between colors. It also enables many times more shades of gray, for higher contrast ratio.
Three New Volume Controls
The RX-V467 has three new volume features. Volume Trim adjust the volume of every input to normalize your volume across all your connected sources. Initial Volume allows you to tune to a preset volume level every time your receiver is turned on. Max Volume lets you set your own maximum volume, to help prevent "blowing out" smaller speakers (like satellite speakers).
SCENE: A New Level of Operating Ease
Four SCENE buttons make operating the receiver easier than ever. They are initially set to default settings for DVD Viewing, Disc Listening, TV Viewing and Radio Listening. Pressing a SCENE button automatically launches a number of operations that initiate play of the source controlled by that button. Other SCENE settings are also available, such as iPod Listening, XM Listening, TV Sports Viewing and Action Game Playing. Browsing and selecting the settings is quickly accomplished by rotating the Input knob and watching the on-screen display. The settings can be selected for one-time use, or they can replace the original default settings. You can even change the SCENE names for convenience.
Improved YPAO for Hassle-Free Configuration
Yamaha's YPAO Sound Optimization system analyzes the acoustics of the room and adjusts various speaker parameters to provide optimum sound quality at the listening position--all in less than three minutes. Yamaha's YPAO system uses a small microphone and sophisticated equalization to automatically set the best sound for any room, no matter where the speakers are. First it checks the speaker connections and phase of each speaker. Then it sends out tones which are captured by the microphone to analyze the room acoustics and sets a variety of parameters, such as the speaker size, the distance of the speakers and even the sound pressure level, etc. It does this until it achieves the best sound conditions for your room, and you don't have to adjust a thing. The RX-V467 features the YPAO system that automatically selects the crucial frequency bands for the listening room, and then adjusts the level of the selected bands to create a cohesive sound field in the room.
Audio Delay Compensation Keeps Your Experience On Track
The latest display devices perform complex internal processing, causing time lag in the video signal. It is a small difference, but because the audio arrives first, the viewer may feel that something is not natural. The Audio Delay function for adjusting Lip-Sync matches the audio to the timing of the output of the video on the screen.
