Paradyne's AIM24000-48 ADSL2+ Line Card is a full density, non-blocking module that provides very high speed asymmetrical bandwidth for Paradyne's 12000 and 4000 IP Broadband Loop Carrier (BLC). The AIM24000-48 is a 48 port module that provides the latest features available for ADSL2+, including higher downstream rates up to 24 Mbps and upstream data rates up to 1.1 Mbps per line. The AIM24000-48 also provides backwards interoperability with standard ADSL2, or ADSL modems, preserving previous investments in those technologies.
Paradyne's ADSL2+ technology is ideal for Triple Play networks. The non-blocking architecture of both the module and the IP BLC guarantee there will be enough bandwidth available on every port for all services, especially IP video. IGMP Multicast support on the AIM24000-48 also ensures bandwidth is intelligently distributed throughout the DSLAM and the module, only allowing video streams to flow to the appropriate ports.
Paradyne's entire IP Traffic Management feature set is also supported on the AIM24000-48, which includes the ability to prioritize traffic based on DSCP, IP address range, MAC address range, or VLAN range. Rate limiting features and 802.1p priority also ensure that specific applications are given appropriate priority and bandwidth allocation throughout the system while marking the packets for upstream network devices.
Other exciting features of the AIM24000-48 include: full backwards compatibility with ADSL and ADSL2; support for reach extended ADSL2 (RE-ADSL2); seamless rate adaption; power management; loop diagnostic capability, and other features inherent in the ADSL2+ standard. These features are all significant improvements over existing ADSL technology currently deployed throughout the world.
The AIM24000-48 also features Paradyne's DSL the Easy Way architecture, which includes plug 'n' play operation. The AIM24000-48 auto configures every port, including ADSL line mode (ADSL2+, ADSL2, ADSL,) and PVC information, making installation of ADSL2+ lines configuration free.
