It is not a easy use item7/12/2014
I have spend a lot time to set it up to work, not that easy to use as I thought.
Works great, sometimes seems to confuse other devi12/10/2013
It wasn't clear how to install it, some trial and error. Once it started working it has been very helpful in using it to connect a machine via ethernet, for some reason ethernet is faster than just boosting wifi to device 2 feet away.
Once configured, works well11/12/2013
As others have said, configuration is a bit confusing. The paper documentation is very confusing. The manual on the CD (DVD?) gave me enough information to configure it. And it does work not only for N routers but for my G router, too. My main router is in the basement and the signal on the second story was nonexistent until I installed the extender. Now, it's strong throughout the house. The price was right, too.
Super signal extender11/11/2013
Great for extending your reception of a signal. I can now use my tablets anywhere in the house. I even tried it in my garage that has a metal siding and roof on it. Anyone that is having signal problems in some of there rooms should get 1 or more to help picking up your wireless signal.
Good product - Good Price - Terrible Documentation7/1/2013
Product works well - once I finally got it up and running. Paper instructions that came in the box are barely intelligible and pretty useless. Online help site is a little better. I got some good live telephone tech support to finally get it installed and operating. The documentation seems to assume that any buyer must have an engineering degree specializing in network communications. Not very user-friendly.
Only works with N devices if you can configure cor12/10/2012
The quality of document is not satisfactory. Hence the configuration is very difficult guessing work. After hours of struggle it started working. Once configured it works fine for N devices and only N devices. B and G devices are not supported.
The setup instructions were as clear as mud. I finally got it going and it boosted the signal good. BUT I can't get on the internet at all. Unplug the booster the internet comes up good. I have wracked my brain as to what the problem is and haven't figured it out.
So buggy w/ IE8 that its impossible. Configuration ok w/ firefox. Once configured and repeating my (open, strong signal) network, device CPU stays pegged or over 90% utilization. Can get to internet but not enough bandwidth to load any pages. Same after updating to latest firmware.
This thing does not work10/19/2012
It does not work. It did not work in auto mode. Tried to connect via ethernet to their domain which does not exist. Waste of time.I am returning it!
I spent 5 hours attempting to get this to work and, in the end, had to send it back. The quick setup guide is worthless and the detailed setup instructions in the online user manual are somewhat vague. A couple of times, I was able to get it up and running; however, each time, the unit would lose it's wireless connection to the access point after about 10 minutes and I was unable to access the user interface. The only option at that point was to hit the reset button and send it back to its default settings and start over. Thus the 5 hour session.
