Jumping good time
4/25/2013It's an open world style game. The guy who created GTA made this game, but the comparisons should really end there. This game is an original take on the open sandbox style of game. In some ways this game is more fun than the previous games. U have super powers! You can jump tall buildings! U can pick up & throw cars

Crazy Fun
1/24/2013You basically play as a cop with superpowers that grow better as you play. So, the more you jump around, the better your jumping ability gets, and eventually you can jump over buildings. The more you fight, the better your fighting ability gets, the more you drive, the better your character's driving ability gets, and so forth.

1/25/2009It arrived packaged well and timely. We actually never played the game. My son didn't want it so we returned it to a local "BigBox" for substantially more than I paid for it! He put it towards another wireless controller.

Great fun!
1/24/2009One of the few games that I have played recently where I completely lost track of time. The open sandbox environment, weapon options, creative graphics and challenging bosses made this game diverse enough to keep me engaged for many hours! I was able to buy it for $11, so it was too good to pass up!

1/23/2009I bought this on day 1 when it first came out for $59.00 I then sold my xbox a couple years ago and recently purchased it again from buy.com for $10.00 with free shipping and was so thankful to pick it up again. It is a really fun game once you start leveling up.

Highly Addictive
1/2/2009More than once I found myself up late, hours past when I should have been sleeping, gleefully leaping between rooftops and blowing up gang members. Leveling up agility, explosives, firearms, and strength are much more fun than they have a right to be. The driving portion of the game is very lackluster: Hard to level, the races and jumps are annoying, and driving itself is useless once you get a level of agility.

Definite Buy for the a timekiller
5/13/2007This game is a mix of all the good things in GTA with a lil RPG thrown in the game. It is fun as hell to play, but the replayablility is a lil low as the missions are all the same. Although there is nothing more fun then shooting the tires out of cars on the freeway and watch them flying around the road. Online the game tends to lag a bit when playing with another player.

3/20/2007Its a pretty cool game, but starts to feel reptitive after a while. I think what really took away from the game was the aiming system. The auto aiming system really dumbs down the gameplay. Still a good game though.

3/17/2007A superior sandbox-style gaming experience filled with ridiculously addictive action. The game world may not be as rich as the GTA series, and there may not be a whole lot to formally "do" once you've found all the orbs and killed all the bosses, but the co-op experience is superb, and jumping from building to building never gets old. Playing "catch" with cars in co-op over Live is an awesome superhero experience. Future downloadable content coming soon promises to enhance the experience further. Recommended without reservation.

Hours of fun
3/12/2007It is a fun game all around. You get to play like spiderman and run around the city looking for crime bosses and taking their weapons to use on them. I like a lot about the game. The only part that is almost too hard are the road races and the foot races. I bought it mainly for the Halo 3 beta, didn't think I would really like the game. Once you get the just of the game it is one of the best XBOX 360 games I have played.

3/12/2007This game is alot of fun but it seems it would be better to rent because you can beat it very quickly. Only reason i would say to buy is for the halo beta! Gameplay is fun and graphics are great. U need to jack the difficulty up for a real challenge tho. The multiplayer is just the 1 player game with 2 people. would be fun if you knew someone with the game, but not great with a random person on live. overall good game, but we all got it for the halo 3 beta so lets just hope that kicks ass!

3/12/2007Been having a lot of fun with this game. Besides GOW this is the first game in a long time that I have spent a LOT of time with. Jumping off the skyscrapers from incredible heights is a blast, especially while taking out a group of people with your RPG.

3/12/2007Crackdown is fun to play, but I'm not jumping out of my chair about it. Why did I buy this game? I bought it to participate in the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta, so I didn't really have any expectations about the game. The Xbox Live play is nice - the game is a lot more enjoyable when you have someone else helping you bust gangbangers. All in all, it's a fun game, but I'll get the most bang for my buck when the Halo 3 Beta comes out.

Lotsa fun, play in psychotic mode...
3/11/2007This game was a lot of fun. Especially with a friend. Only complaint is that it was a bit too short. The best way to describe the game is Grand Theft Auto combined with Mercanaries. The graphics and physics engine are awesome. Weapons are a lot of fun. I only hit one clipping bug. There were a few times however, when I got to a boss only to find he/she wasn't there. Easy fix is to go 10-12 blocks away and back. He/she should reappear with all of his/her lackies. I suggest, to get the most out of the game, do not play directly through. Try to get your stats as high as possible and play every possible driving and foot race as possible. Try to extend the game as much as possible. If you play it right through, it would only last maybe 10 hours at best. I really hope they add more content via XBOX live. I would give it 5 stars if it were longer of a game.

CrackDown is great!
3/10/2007I have been playing CrackDown for a couple of weeks now and it is a very fun game. Graphics are great, the play is smooth. There is a lot to do to keep you interested. Even better is teaming up with a friend in Co-op mode. Plus, if you get bored you can just run around blowing things up including your friend! Seriously, a lot of fun. If you are a GTA fan this is way better. Enjoy.

Crackdown is so much fun !
3/3/2007Playing Crackdown has been the most fun I have had on the 360 since I purchased it over a year ago. Gears of War was cool but for straight fun factor Crackdown wins hands down. I even like Crackdown better that the Grand Theft Auto series. There are so many cool things to do and achievements to obtain in this game. Plus leveling up your agent is great as you are constantly getting better agility, strength, fire power etc... The online co-op mode is great fun as well. A friend and I jumped on last night and had a blast taking out a king pin and then trying to get the 6 second airborne car achievement. Like I said before you have tons of options on what you can do in the game. Do you want to work on leveling up your driving skills? Or maybe your strength? Or how about explosives? Or maybe you want to move in and take out the gangs that have infested the city? How about climbing to the top of the agency skyscraper and then base jumping into the ocean below? I have spent an average of 5 hours a night on this game since it was released and I am still enjoying every minute. If you want a good challenge your first time through put it on the medium difficulty instead of easy. Then when you beat it on medium difficulty try it on insane – good luck !!! If there is one game to get in 2007, Crackdown is a smart choice.

A lot of people, myself included, figured it would only sell because of the Halo 3 beta invite included with it and that the game itself would suck. But Crackdown itself actually ROCKS!! All in all, this is a great game, tons of fun (just what a video game should be!), and it is well worth the purchase by its own merits! The Halo 3 Beta invite is just a bonus (although a really, really GREAT bonus!) But you don't have to take my word for it; go play the demo on Xbox Live!! Note on the Halo 3 beta invite: You must own the game disc at the time the beta becomes available (late spring). So, no, you can't buy the game and then sell it and still get into the Halo 3 beta. You must have the Crackdown game disc in your XBox 360 drive to download and play the beta when it comes out.
