Customer Reviews of Digital Weather Projection Snooze Alarm Clock With LED Color Display
Clock works fine but leaves a bit to be desired re3/13/2013
Clock works fine, but if on batteries you have to push a button to view the time & temp which goes blank again after 15 or so seconds.
light shines very brightly and time is very readable. working so far
Does Not Work With PowerSupply2/21/2013
This item works fine on batteries, but I think the power connection is too close to the thermo sensor. I tried several 5V power supplies and as a result the temperature will increase by 20F... I tried different amperage, and got the same result. Unfortunately if you are using a batterie, the LCD does not light up, only when pressing the Light button. Poor design.
Lots of Quirks1/30/2013
This unit has some major design flaws and I don’t recommend buying it for the following reasons: 1. When running on batteries, you have to hit the light button on top to illuminate the display. It will stay lit for about 8 seconds and then go out. Why would anyone want to have to do that? 2. When running on an AC adapter (must be purchased separately) the unit will stay on but the temperature reads about 16 degrees too high and the humidity says LL. (nothing in the instructions about that) What’s really weird is that when it’s running on batteries, the temperature will be correct, but the humidity - although now showing a number - is about 20 percent too low. 3. When I’m In bed and the unit is sitting on a shelf behind my head, the time that is projected on the ceiling is upside down. If I set it on the dresser across the room facing me, the time is projected correctly, but then it can’t be used as a snooze alarm – as it is across the room. 4. To display the date, I have to reach around the back of the unit, find the mode button and press it. The date will display for a few seconds then default back to the time. Why would anyone want to have to do that? But… if you don’t mind spending a little extra for a power supply, and you don’t care about the temperature or humidity, and the unit doesn’t sit on a shelf behind your head when you're in bed, you might actually like this device. The image projected on the ceiling is surprisingly bright and clear. (we have 8’ ceilings) But I’m still only rating it one star. I like to know the temperature and humidity in the room. I paid for a unit that states that it does that, but it doesn’t.
Doesn't display outside temperature6/5/2012
I wish I would have read the list of features more carefully before I bought this clock. The product is called a weather clock so I was expecting something with a remote sensor that could be put outside so the clock would display the outdoor temperature. I don't need to know the temperature inside my house.
Just what you should expect6/4/2012
This timepiece is functional, but much less practical than I had hoped. It is a bit too large to use as a travel alarm. In addition, it runs on AAA batteries or with an AC adapter, which is NOT included. To see the time or other functions is difficult because you have to push the LIGHT/SNOOZE button repeatedly. This also makes setting the time/date/alarm quite tedious. The projected image of the time is bright and crisp, albeit very quick to turn off.
The Good: Attractive design. Alarm wakes you gently by slowly escalating the volume. Can take either batteries or A/C adapter. The Bad: If you use batteries the time is only visible for a few seconds when the snooze button is pushed. Having both the batteries in & plugging in (or taking out) an A/C adapter resets the time, so you can't leave the batteries in as a power back up.
You get what you pay for with this item.5/30/2012
There was no surprise with this item for me. It was less then 15 dollars so I didn't expect too much. Yeah its made of plastic and looks a little cheap but what do you expect for this price? I only wish on battery that the screen was a bit brighter. In that regard I went online and bought a dc 4.5v adapter and now waiting on that to arrive so that the clock remains lit all the time rather then having to hit the "light" button on top. I hope it goes well as that was another 10 bucks.
Needs DC transformer5/28/2012
The product is excellent provided it is used with an appropriate DC voltage source.
