Macy’s is one of America’s most popular original department stores that covers a wide spectrum of prices. For over 150 years, they’ve sold designer clothing, fashion accessories and quality home goods alongside great deals. With almost 800 locations, there is most likely a Macy’s close to you. But what’s even better than shopping in store is shopping online at Macys.com with Macy’s coupons, promo codes, free shipping offers and Cash Back. Join Rakuten today if you haven’t yet!
Since it’s a department store, you can find almost everything at Macy’s, from clothes, jewelry and makeup to kitchen appliances, bath towels and dinnerware. Rest assured, there are ways to save regardless of what is on your shopping list. Here are a few tips for how to save even more at Macy’s.
1. Take advantage of Free Shipping at Macy’s
Shopping online is convenient, but the shipping costs can add up. However, it’s easy to get free standard shipping at Macys.com with a purchase of just $99 or more. Shipping options include standard shipping (3 to 6 business days), premium shipping (2 to 3 business days) and express shipping (1 to 2 business days).
2. Shop for the perfect fit or color with easy returns
If the color is wrong or it just doesn’t fit right, purchases from Macys.com can be returned at any time online or in-store. If you have your receipt or order confirmation email, you can receive a full refund in the original payment method. Even beauty products and fragrances fall under the return policy. In-store purchases can be returned within 180 days of purchase.
If the item you want to return was a gift, you can receive a full refund in the form of a Macy’s “Happy Returns” gift card if you have the invoice or gift receipt. If you don’t have an invoice or gift receipt, you can still make returns and you’ll receive a gift card worth the returned item’s lowest selling price within the last 180 days.
3. Get the Macy’s Credit Card for extra discounts and coupons
Sign up for the Macy’s credit card to get extra discounts and coupons. The more you spend, the better the discounts will be. Open and shop on the same and next day to save 20% on your two-day total of $100 or more.

5. Look out for monthly “One Day” sales
Once a month (usually the third Saturday of the month), Macy’s will offer a One Day Sale with the best savings. You’ll typically get a preview day on Friday, and on this morning is the best time to shop for the greatest selection. Most one Day Sales also last for two days. Clearance items will be marked down further and usually, there will be a stackable Macy’s coupon. If possible, wait until the One Day Sale.
6. Enroll in the “Thanks for Sharing” program for 10% rewards

8. Shop during the Macy’s Friends & Family Sales
Twice a year in Spring and December, you’ll find a 25% off Macy’s promo code during the Friends & Family Sale. If you’re looking to make a big purchase and can afford to wait a little while, that 25% will definitely be worth it.
9. Shop Last Act
Last Act is Macy’s clearance sections where you can get 60% to 80% off original prices. Macy’s coupons and additional savings are not valid for items from Last Act. Shop for unbeatable savings on everything for women, men, kids and baby and home.
10. Shop with Macy’s gift cards
Macy’s gift cards are the next best thing if you don’t have a store credit card. They contain Macy’s currency, making it a Macy’s credit card equivalent. For example, if there’s a sale with 20% off for cardholders and you pay with your Macy’s gift card, you will get the 20% off discount as if you had a store credit card.
Most items on Macys.com come with the option of free in-store pickup. Just shop as you normally do, and if you find an item with this option, order and head to your local Macy’s store to pick it up in just two hours. Even if it’s not available the same day, you can still have it shipped to the store if you haven’t met the free shipping minimum.
13. Get free beauty products
Oftentimes, you’ll find free gifts with qualifying purchases in the beauty department at Macy’s. These gifts include trial size versions of popular skin care and makeup products. Don’t forget – all beauty purchases ship free from Macys.com.
14. Subscribe to Macy’s Beauty Box
Did you know Macy’s has its own monthly subscription program called the Beauty Box? For $15 a month, you’ll get five deluxe beauty samples, one bonus item, a collectible cosmetics bag and a subscriber-only $5 Macy’s coupon to use towards a beauty purchase online or in-store.

If you can’t decide on what to add to your registry, start a Dream Fund Gift Card so your friends and family can contribute to your Macy’s shopping fund.
If you enroll in Registry Star Rewards, you’ll get 10% back in Rewards Dollars on all eligible purchases and 5% back on every eligible gift someone buys from your registry. All this money goes back to you in the form of a Macy’s gift card, so you can cash it in on whatever you want. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll be gifted with 20% off most remaining items in your registry and an extra 10% off all the big items six months after your wedding.
18. Maximize the monthly rebates
Every month, Macy’s releases a list of new rebates for Macys.com and in-store purchases. See if you have any eligible items, then fill out a form to get your rebate started. This is the best way to save on home goods from Macy’s.
19. Beware of “Everyday Value” items
It may seem like you’re getting a good deal, but you should be able to walk away with savings every time you shop at Macy’s and Everyday Value items, like basic closet staples, won’t do that. Products ending in $0.98 are not eligible for coupons and are rarely included in sales. However, they may be reduced for clearance.
