Thanksgiving is almost here, and if you’re exhausted from a long week, month, or the long year that 2020 has been, you might find yourself wanting to just let someone else do the cooking for you. Luckily, many restaurants are open on Thanksgiving Day for 2020, and many of them are offering complete Thanksgiving meals for individuals and families alike. Here are some popular restaurants that are open on Thanksgiving for you to consider, plus scroll to the bottom to see easy ways to save on your meal.
1. Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill
In addition to the regular menu, participating Applebee’s will be offering a Thanksgiving meal, which includes turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. Contact your local Applebee’s to see if it will have this special menu and its hours.
2. Boston Market
You can grab a complete meal for the whole family at Boston Market year-round, but it’s especially convenient around Thanksgiving. Most of Boston Market’s locations are open on Thanksgiving day, and you can order a heat-and-serve Thanksgiving meal with a full turkey and all the sides. Boston Market also has individual Thanksgiving meals if you’re in need of smaller portions.
3. Buca di Beppo
Buca di Beppo is open at 11 AM on Thanksgiving day at most locations. The restaurant is known for its family-style Italian fare, and it’s applying that same family-style principle to its Thanksgiving feast. You can order online and pick up in the restaurant or curbside. The meal comes with sliced white meat turkey, homestyle gravy, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, spicy italian sausage stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie.
4. Cracker Barrel
If you’ve ever taken a road trip, you’ve probably been to a Cracker Barrel. The country-themed establishment knows how to do comfort food the right way, and it’s Thanksgiving offering is no different. Order a Thanksgiving Heat n’ Serve Feast that serves 8 to 10 and goes from oven to table in just under two hours. You can also pick up a hot and ready option for 4 to 6 if you don’t want to fire up the oven. Cracker Barrel locations are open starting at 11 AM on Thanksgiving day across the country, but dine-in services vary widely per state.
5. Denny’s
Denny’s has you covered for Thanksgiving from breakfast to dinner with delicious meals like pumpkin spice pancakes and a holiday turkey melt. If you’re interested in take-out, Denny’s is featuring a Turkey & Dressing Dinner Pack that’s available for pickup now until November 26. For just $39.99, you can get a carved turkey breast served with family-style savory stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce, plus red-skinned mashed potatoes and broccoli or sweet corn. This serves four people and you can even add a whole Pecan or Pumpkin Pie.
6. Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chao is open 11 AM to 9 PM on Thanksgiving day, and is serving up Thanksgiving dinner with a Brazilian twist. You can get roasted turkey with au jus, sweet potato casserole, Brazilian sausage and apple stuffing, steamed asparagus and cranberry relish. That is, of course, on top of the fire-roasted meats it normally serves. If you’re wanting a Thanksgiving meal to go, they start at $145 and feed six people.
7. IHOP
Breakfast for Thanksgiving? Why not? It is 2020 after all. IHOP locations across the country are open on Thanksgiving day, but the restaurant chain recommends calling ahead for exact hours per location. You can dine-in depending on the state and also order the new Holiday Family Feast for curbside pick-up or delivery. It has pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and festive holiday toppings, all for a great price.
8. Maggiano’s Little Italy
This Italian restaurant chain is promoting its four-course family-style Thanksgiving package. The dine-in menu includes classic dishes like Caesar Salad, Traditional Roast Turkey with gravy and sausage stuffing, Smoked Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Four-Cheese Ravioli and more. You can also do a carry-out version of this meal for four to five people for $179.99.
9. Marie Callender’s
Most Marie Callender’s will be open on Thanksgiving Day, so call before heading out. Adults can enjoy a three-course meal for just $22.00, and it includes starters, an entree of a turkey or ham dinner with seasonal vegetables, fire-roasted yams with cranberry streusel topping and fresh mashed potatoes, plus a pumpkin or apple pie dessert. Kids can dine for just $8.99. These options are both available for take-out as well after 12 PM on Thanksgiving.
10. Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen
Popeye’s is known as a fast food chain, but it pulls out all the stops on Thanksgiving. This year, the restaurant brought back its Cajun-style turkey, which is already cooked to perfection with all of those familiar Louisiana seasonings. Popeye’s is also partnering with Uber Eats to deliver a “churkey” dinner (pieces of chicken in a turkey-shaped container) for a convenient solution to Thanksgiving dinner. Most locations are open on Thanksgiving Day.
