Master & Dynamic was launched in 2014 in New York City by founder Jonathan Levine. Levine is a consumer products engineer who's highly involved in the music industry. After building a recording studio in his office to support his DJ and music producer son, Levine became interested in headphones. After seeing a pair of WWII aviator headphones in a museum and falling in love with the elegant and timeless design, he committed to designing and building modern headphones that would be as beautifully designed as they are functional.
