Profit isn’t first on his mind, and he has set up his company to reflect that. Instead, Patagonia is committed to fighting the current environmental crisis. The company is a co-founder of 1% for the Planet, an organization committed to supporting grassroots environmental groups. Before producing products, the company assesses their impact on the environment and selects bio-degradable and naturally-sourced materials whenever possible.
