Southwest Rapid Rewards is the loyalty program for Southwest Airlines, founded in 1971. The program is designed to reward frequent flyers with points redeemable for flights, upgrades and other benefits.
 

• Points earned on flights: Collect points for every dollar you spend on Southwest flights.
• No blackout dates: Travel freely with Rapid Rewards! You can redeem your points on any available flight seats, no matter the date.
• Companion pass: Rapid Rewards members earn a pass that allows a companion to fly for free.
• Partner rewards: Rapid Rewards points can also be earned at Southwest’s partner hotels, car-rental agencies and retailers.
• Tiered membership: Members of the program’s A-List and A-List Preferred tiers will score additional benefits.
