Why Don’t Some Stores Offer Cash Back Through the Cash Back Button?
We encourage all stores to offer Cash Back through the Cash Back Button, but a small number of stores don’t participate fully or at all.
Some stores offer Cash Back but don’t allow the Button to show a notification on their site. In this case, you won’t see a reminder to activate Cash Back when shopping on that site but you can still activate Cash Back through the Button. If the Button icon in your browser’s toolbar is flashing red, select the icon, then select Activate Cash Back. When the icon turns blue, you’ve activated Cash Back and you’re ready to shop!
Other stores don't offer Cash Back at all through the Button, so you won’t be able to activate Cash Back directly on the site. You can always check rakuten.com to see if you can earn Cash Back by starting your shopping from the Rakuten website, instead of using the Button.
