Schutz Shoes debuted in Brazil in 1995. Founder Alexandre Birman created his first shoe by hand when he was only 12 years old, and he started Schutz when he was only 18 years old. Birman’s father is the founder of shoe brand Arezzo, and in 2007, invited his son to merge Schutz with Arezzo. Since 2011, Birman has been the CEO of Schutz and is now operating at an international level. In 2016, Schutz won Brand of the Year from Footwear News for providing fashionable, functional and seriously sought-after shoes.
