TRX was founded in 1997 by Randy Hetrick, a Navy SEAL squadron commander of elite special missions. In an attempt to keep himself in the best shape possible while he was deployed on missions, he used a jujitsu belt and parachute webbing to develop the first version of what would ultimately become the TRX Suspension Trainer and lead to a worldwide fitness company.
