Excellent album for anyone in a bad relationship
Anyone who loves rock n roll and knows the ins and outs, ups and downs of a bad relationship will love this album. Local H has always been an underrated band over the years. Scott Lucas has had a knack for writing enjoyable modern rock ballads and songs from this album like "The Summer of Boats" and "Simple Pleas" do not disappoint. This album is an example of more mature song writing from the band. It doesn't rock as hard as previous albums, but that doesn't mean its a soft album either. "Taxi-Cabs", "Blur", and the humorously titled "Jesus Christ! Did You See the Size of That Sperm Whale" bring the rock. "BMW Man" is a catchy ode to the metrosexual guy that the ex-girlfriend is now dating. "Hand to Mouth" is really the only weak point as the drawn out ballad never captured my interest. While the album may not have that one song that jumps out as a favorite, tracks one through eleven are high quality tunes worthy of anyone's collection.
