Ease of Use

I was amazed by the simple and quick installation. The psu operates so silently that I did not think it was running at first. It was! I am very pleased and would highly recommend this unit.

Great 450W psu

on 9/9/2007

This power supply is pretty amazing. It would be an amazing deal if it was about 10 dollars cheaper (becoming the retail price of an Antec Earthwatts 430w). However, besides the price, I've been running this for a few days now under a 9800se (oc'ed), old p4 2.6 (oc'ed), sound card, 2 optical drives, 1 sata drive, 1 case fan and I've had no problems. There's about a <2% voltage difference from the 3 volt rail and it's great on the 5, 12 volt rail. 5 year replacement guarantees that you could just leave it running for a long time. Use this power supply to power sensible LOADS, do not use this to power quad-core cpus with SLI/Crossfire video cards. Those loads are not sensible. However, if you have a c2d cpu and a midrange/semi-highend video card then get this...efficient, quiet psu.

An excellent power supply for HTPCs

by HTPC owner on 9/25/2007

For those that are looking for an excellent power supply for a Home Theater PC, look no further. I've done some research on finding the best value and quality for a quiet pc that would be used in the family room. This power supply is actually manufactured by seasonic which is a very hi-quality power supply company that's known for quiet and efficient power supplies. Just do a search and you'll see. Corsair just rebrands this in their own name but the components are the same. The advantage of going with the Corsair is the fact they use Japanese components versus the cheaper power supplies that use Taiwanese or Chinese components. Pros: quiet (you can't hear it unless you put your ear to the case), efficient, hi-quality components, nice packaging Cons: the internal cables are attached to the power supply (non-modular) so you can't detach what you don't need. I just had to tuck unused cables out of the way with plastic ties that come with the power supply.
