Hardware great, software needs work
Purchased this UPS for an HP Small Business Server 2003 SP2 in our church. The hardware was easy to install and high quality like I usually expect from APC. The software Powerchute Business Ed. Basic was difficult to install since it assumed you wanted to manage several UPS's thru your network- I'm only concerned about the UPS hooked to the server. After a second install with the correct settings chosen, it worked, but some of the features (such as detailed management of shutdowns) are only available in the upgraded version which is NOT free. We've not had any major power outages yet, but I'm confident we have plenty of runtime in this UPS - more than the configurators indicate on the APC website. I'd still buy APC again, just wish there was more detail about what software works with each UPS and what features are available in the software.
