I purchased this headset specifically to use with Dragon 12 on a desktop PC running Windows 8. Works more accurately than other headsets I tried. You MUST however have a Bluetooth adapter for your computer or built into you other kind of device because it is not included with the because it is not included with Blue Parrot Xpress.
First off, this is not the latest offering from VXI Blue Parrot. It was the top model a year or so ago and it's probably a very good deal for most people. It's not really comfortable due to the rear of the headset rubbing the inside of my ear and the speaker is quite long and is intended to be inserted into your ear. The latest model has a larger speaker and it does not protrude into your ear canal. This headset does a great job at killing unwanted noise from making it through to who ever you are talking to. It is very impressive to have a loud engine, TV, music etc. playing in the same room with you but, the person on the other end can barely tell that you are speaking in a loud environment. Besides the slight comfort issue on my ear the only other 2 things I can knock are size of the headset and the tinny sounding audio that comes from the speaker. I would have expected a fuller sound coming from that speaker that fit into your ear canal. So if you like to listen to iHear Radio or similar full range sound broadcast then you should probably try the newer version with larger speaker. If you mainly use it for phone conversations then you will likely find it sufficient. PS. All of these Blue Parrot headsets have better than usual range and can usually work well at over 35 ft. away.
I'm 5' 10" guy, I guess you might say runners build - I found the smallest rubber ear fitting to be the most comfortable, but it still wasn't great. My real concern is that the ear piece wouldn't stay on the unit (didn't have this problem with the medium so maybe a manufacturing defect). And of course I eventually lost it.
Sound quality is great, filters ambient noise well. I bought it for office use and on the road. Probably wouldn't buy again, though I think there is a newer v2.
If you work in a noisy environment, and spend a good part of your day on the phone, we'd like to introduce you to your next headset: the VXi BlueParrott Xpress. The VXi BlueParrott Xpress is a sleek, lightweight (just 0.6 oz), Bluetooth® headset that - thanks to VXi's Xtreme Noise Suppression® technology - is ideal for use wherever excessive background noise is an issue. Its wideband audio delivers natural sound quality for consistently accurate communication. A2DP supports means you can also use the Xpress with your GPS, music player and other Bluetooth-enabled devices. When interfacing to another A2DP-enabled device, it provides superior audio and music quality.
