Silly, but fun
I don't think anyone can take melanie griffith's acting seriously. However, I think the film is still good in many respects. The secondary cast carries the comedy well, especially Raven, who bought my love with "Hi, I'm Raven. I'm a satanist and I'll be doing your makeup." The deliberately overdone horror scene we see in the drivethrough is right up griffith's alley. However, the plot isn't great. Yes, hollywood sucks for their crimes against creativity. But using domestic terrorism to combat that is something so ludicrous, only John Waters could pull it off, and he just barely does. So this movie is silly, but hilarious and polished.
