The story of one of americas most well loved and outspoken (as well as openly gay) politicians. It's also a hilarious and insightful movie about modern politics, gay life and political hypocrisy.

Review Although Everly focuses on the ridiculousness of Jerry Falwell's denouncement of the Teletubbies as subliminally pro-gay and the hypocrisy of anti-Clinton moralists Bob Barr and Henry Hyde (both hid their own adultery scandals), no mention is given to the fact that Clinton OK'd both the "don't ask, don't tell" policy for gay soldiers and the national Defense of Marriage Act, which set federal definitions of marriage as hetero-only and excused states from recognizing any future same-sex marriages allowed in fellow states. Certainly the Bush administration has done enough damage to make the Clinton years now seem like a progressive paradise in comparison, but Let's Get Frank is hardly frank enough.

Review Following Frank over a two-year period, director Bart Everly enjoyed unprecedented access to one of the cagiest and most outspoken politicians on the Hill, but Let's Get Frank lacks candor, which is the one element that would seem to be guaranteed...A better movie might have spent more time absorbing Frank's political philosophy or observing his unconventional life inside the Beltway, but Let's Get Frank keeps falling back on impeachment footage, much of which is virtually inaudible.
