These are somewhat comparable to a Samsonite-branded case that I own as well (and was similarly inexpensive). As opposed to the Samsonite, this one opens completely, if you pull the sipper to the end on both sides. It has no padding inside whatsoever, so if it takes a hit, or it gets crushed harder than what it can withstand, the camera will probably take it. As a pouch for accessories, it’s great, since it’s so easy to fit it in a pocket. A word of caution; be sure to measure your camera once you have it, as opposed to trusting the measurements posted for size here in Buy.com. The Samsung TL-500, which would’ve been a tight fit if the measurements were true, does NOT fit in it (they measured the body, but forgot about the fixed lens sticking out). It’s nice for a compact camera with a fully retractable lens, but one with a part of it sticking out, should be a no-go. I wanted the slimmest possible case, since the camera would ride inside a briefcase (and be protected already). The sides of the case are molded hard (similar crush-resistance of a cardboard box, yet much more attractive than that). The size is comparable to a male wallet (when new, not overstuffed like some people carry them). Other than the slim dimensions, there really isn’t much to say about the diminutive case. I like the non-slip feel of the outside texture, and the zipper has fabric within, to keep contents (like a strap) from getting caught on it when closing.
