Review While so many television networks pander to the all too often puerile tastes of the younger viewers, CBS saw fit to present several series geared towards the older members of the audience. One of the most notable of these mystery series was Murder, She Wrote. As many television shows moved towards the edge, frequently pushing the boundaries of what was acceptable this series started out always tasteful and remained such through out the almost dozen years it was on the air. This in itself was quite an accomplishment, quality television that lasted through the years.

Hollywood North Report of the most beloved amateur sleuths in the genre... I think what makes the series is the fact that, well, it's Angela Lansbury.
Bradley Hayward, Crimespree Cinema ...a well oiled machine, featuring clever mysteries and a parade of guest stars from Hollywood's most glamorous era.
Home Theater Info ...quality television that lasted through the years...The production values of this series are among the best I have seen.
Paul Mavis, DVD Talk of television's best mystery series...with Angela Lansbury effortlessly entertaining as the widowed ex-English teacher...
Vince D'Amato, Hollywood North Report ...Lansbury's Jessica Fletcher character is probably one of the most beloved amateur sleuths in the genre...
