Product Overview

Action, romance, and historical intrigue help make Nobuhiro Watsuki's tale of a wandering swordsman set against the backdrop of the Meiji Restoration one of the most popular Shonen Jump titles among fans to date. Himura Kenshin, once an assassin (or "hitokiri") of ferocious power, now fights to protect the honor of those in need.

From the Publisher:
Kujiranami, the giant whose right arm Kenshin severed during the Bakumatsu, escapes from prison and goes on the rampage. He is armed with a frightening new weapon, and the police force is helpless against his wrath. One warrior has the courage to stand up to him: Myjin Yahiko, Kenshin's youthful ward and Kaoru's only student in Kamiya Kasshin-ry. And while it's true that Yahiko's skill has increased, will he alone be able to stop a deranged Kujiranami? If Kenshin doesn't do something quick, this will certainly be Yahiko's greatest--and last--battle!

About the Author:
Nobuhiro Watsuki was born on May 26, 1970 in Tokyo, Japan. While growing up, Nobuhiro's brother, who was three years older, drew manga and became his role model. In addition to his brother, many manga artists of the time were a great inspiration to him, including Osamu Tezuka (Astro Boy, Black Jack, Jetter Mars to name a few) and Fujiko Fujio (Kaibutsu-kun, Obake no Q-Taro).
