Review Samoan Wedding does not take pains to differentiate the characters in terms of personality. Only two characters stand out at all. The movie also floods the screen with people. There are just too many guys to keep track of them all, and there's no incentive to bother...The movie hits some kind of pay dirt (pay dirt here means it's almost interesting) when one of the fellas (Oscar Kightley) becomes interested in a sexy distant cousin (Maryjane McKibbin-Schwenke), but she likes the ladies' man of the crew (Robbie Magasiva). So we get a little romantic triangle action going on. But, most of the time, Samoan Wedding is like hearing a funny story about people you don't know.
