Product Overview

Prepare yourself for this terrifying, twisted, and chilling film that critics are calling "the most entertaining horror movie in years" (Joe Williams, St. Louis Post Dispatch). From the writer of 2004's Dawn of the Dead comes the deliciously demented story of an unnamed evil wreaking havoc on a small town. Intent on devouring all life on Earth, this dark force is infecting anyone in its path. Now, it's up to the local sheriff, Bill Pardy (Nathan Fillion, Serenity), and his team to stop the spread of rampant devastation - and shocking mutilation - before it's too late. Review If your idea of fun involves zombies, monstrous physical transformations and alien slugs bent on world domination, look no further than James Gunn's gleeful homage to all things gross and horrible actually makes good on the "horror comedy" label by being both flat-out creepy and darkly funny.

Review It's the kind of movie that used to be called "trashy good fun," only there's nothing trashy about it: Gunn, who scripted the 2004 "Dawn of the Dead" remake, is clearly punch-drunk with horror-movie love; "Slither" is, among other things, a freewheeling homage to "The Blob", "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" and just about everything by George Romero.

Joe Leydon, Variety ...a breakneck momentum that makes the wild ride even more exhilarating.
Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly, affectionate homage...
Scott Tobias, The Onion A.V. Club ...cleverly exploits the nervous laughter that fills a theater whenever a horror movie gets too frightening to bear.
Steven Rea, Philadelphia Inquirer ...delivers seat-squirming scares.
