Product Overview

From Stephen King, the modern master of terror, comes an all new excursion into a place where horror comes alive. For Jim Norman (Tim Matheson), returning to his old hometown to teach high school after a twenty-year absence may be the ultimate nightmare. Haunted by recurring dreams that terrify him and concern his wife (Brooke Adams), he must face the demons of his past.

On a night long ago, a fiery car crash claimed the lives of his brother and a gang of hoods. Now one by one, the hoods are coming back for revenge.

The students closest to Jim begin dying suspiciously and the ghostly gang members start coming back - to his classroom. The local police suspect Jim's involved, but don't believe the bizarre truth. The ghostly gang attacks Jim's house, assaults his wife and chase his young son in a fiery roadster.

Only a confrontation in the evil tunnel where his brother died can set them free and end the horror.

Review "Show him the face!" is a quote from one of my favorite scenes in any horror movie. When you hear this in Sometimes They Come Back, put yourself in the kid's shoes for a moment and just think how you would feel in that situation...I first saw this horror movie was when I was very young, and I was drawn in immediately. The story, timeline, the awesome car, the acting, and the characters are just great, and especially the villains in the movie are some of my favorite villains of all time...All of the parties involved have to meet in a final showdown in that same old train tunnel. The ending to Sometimes They Come Back is definitely one of the best finales to a Stephen King movie ever, and is not to be missed...Not only is Sometimes They Come Back a good horror movie, it is just a good movie in general that can be enjoyed even if you are not a horror fan. While not particularly scary or gory by many standards, Sometimes They Come Back is still a darn good movie and I highly recommend it.

Andy Dursin, The Aisle Seat ...effective in its evocation of small-town life and its development of Matheson's demons...a nice, understated score from Terry Plumeri...
