Although the quality of this series is definately not on par with Star Trek: The Next Generation, true Star Trek fans will greatly enjoy Voyager. The premise makes for a great series, because each week Voyager is entering unexplored territory. The characters, save for Neelix, make for some great stories.
"Star Trek: Voyager" returns the franchise to a softer, more optimistic look at the future. When Capt. Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and her intrepid crew are stranded in the far-reaches of the Delta Quadrant, they encounter situations that, sadly, were better tackled on "The Next Generation." The series was entertaining enough, but after "The Next Generation" and "Deep Space Nine," it left something to be desired.
